Cayman Turtle Farm and Stingray City Fun Day
A “must do” when visiting the Cayman Islands! Two of the biggest attractions of the Island combined into one tour, something for everyone to enjoy.
What You Can Expect:
Your fun day begins at the Turtle Farm, which is situated on the west side of the Island. The Turtle Farm is a breeding farm to five species of turtles, some weighing over 500lbs, as well as other wildlife animals. It offers a great export business for the island, but has also helped to protect the turtles from extinction. Touch tanks and wading pools give enough opportunities for animal lovers to commune with these gentle creatures. You can enjoy the attractions at the adjoining marine park, including an aviary full of tropical birds, a fish-filled snorkeling lagoon, swimming pools, and a replica of a typical Cayman street lined with gingerbread houses. The park offers a variety of activities for different age groups to enjoy - interact with baby turtles, watch “smiley” the last fresh/salt water hybrid crocodile on the Island get fed, snorkel in the salt-water lagoon, visit the predator’s tank, stop by the restaurant and try some local food (at your expense), or simply relax by the pool.
Our fun day continues on to the Marina where you will be transported to Stingray City by boat. This is home to the gentle, friendly creatures, whose behaviors and visits to the sand bar has evolved over the decades as a result of their daily interactions with local fishing boats and tourist visits. This is where you can swim with, feed, and pet the friendly oversized stingrays and other surrounding fish.
